Description
Corochinato, also known as ‘asinello’ (little donkey), is a flavored white wine derived from a typical Genoese recipe. Still produced according to the same, 130-year old recipe. Sixteen herbs and spices are also thrown into the mix, starring absinthe, gentian, holy thistle, thyme, oregano, cinnamon. Natural ingredients dosed according to a formula that has never changed since 1886.
The wine owes its name to the combination of the Genoese borough of Coronata (originally, it was produced with the Coronata white) with that of “china” (a known family of bark of tree plants also used for digestive virtues), a basic ingredient of this delicious wine.
A real gem that can be appreciated both as an aperitif and a digestive, as a worthy conclusion to the meal.
